The numerous public squares and parks with their generous dimensions and possibilities make Basel an attractive location for high-quality open air events. The various public event sites are equipped with good infrastructures, come in all shapes and sizes, and are centrally located. They have first-rate transport links, and are simultaneously characterised by the attractive atmosphere of their urban settings. They present excellent forums for outstanding events of all kinds.

Management system for «public areas – Basel-Stadt»

To manage its public areas, Basel-Stadt has set up an Internet accessible site management system. This allows potential event organisers to inform themselves about scheduled events at particular sites or locations, and gives them an overview on the availability of event sites. Information is also provided about the infrastructure of the various event locations, and they can then obtain the necessary permit for their event in public space here.
