International networks

Basel plays an active part in international networks in many different ways. In the vast majority of cases, these involve the specific exchange of expertise at international level. These specialist networks are overseen by the bodies responsible for the relevant matters and the persons directly involved. The Department of Presidential Affairs is an active participant in the OSCE urban initiatives on city planning and smart cities. In addition and within the framework of the Geneva Cities Hub, it also takes part in discussions on the international involvement of cities.
